Selling a home, cabin or plot

Everything is easy when you know how.

We have sold homes and property since 1986, and we know what it takes for you to be satisfied. We plan, carry out and contract the sale — while playing on your team.

The sales process

Eight questions, eight answers.

This is what sellers ask us — and these are our answers, from inspection to settlement.
  1. Where do we start?

    01 · Inspection and valuation

We book an inspection. Gather the documents you have and set aside enough time for the agent to see the whole property. Based on the market, we give you a valuation of the home, cabin or plot.

  2. What do I sign?

    02 · The engagement agreement

A written agreement that the agent goes through with you. It sets out the cost of the service and the marketing, and you get a valuation of what you can expect the sale price to be.

  3. How long does it take?

    03 · A schedule

Our agents draw up a schedule early on, so you know the timeline. Among the first steps are meeting the surveyor and the photographer — we prepare you for both.

  4. Who checks the paperwork?

    04 · Formalities under control

We do. Everything we gather is reviewed, checked and sometimes interpreted — old easements, for example. If we find anything unclear, we resolve it before the sale starts.

  5. How do you find the buyer?

    05 · Marketing

FINN, smart search, social media, window displays, local papers and our own register of thousands of home seekers. Our system automatically picks out people who have shown interest in your type of home.

  6. Will an assistant run the viewing?

    06 · The all-important viewing

No. There is always an estate agent from us at open viewings — we never replace the agent with an outside viewing assistant.

  7. And the bidding?

    07 · The bidding round

It happens in writing, and everything is documented. The agent checks financing where possible and advises you throughout — but you are the one who accepts the bid.

  8. When do I get the money?

    08 · Settlement

Our own settlement department handles the financial settlement once the deed is registered with the Norwegian Mapping Authority. That can take up to ten working days after handover.

  9. Your agent replies — by phone, email and face to face.
